DR MAGGIE ELSEY

Dr Maggie Elsey has an orthodontic practice in Gloucestershire, England, which she set up from scratch 16 years ago. She is married, with four teenage boys. Having struggled to lose weight, she thought that there must be something that causes people to become diabetic and obese, which was not CICO (calories-in, calories-out). She started to research fat metabolism and simple biochemical pathways, which she had learned as an undergrad and postgrad. She came across Dr Robert Lustig and his amazing youtube lecture, then Peter Attia’s Ted talk followed by Gary Taubes and David Gillespie – then everyone else!
