Tamzyn Murphy Campbell is a South African registered dietitian and masters student in physiology at the University of Cape Town’s Sports Science Institute. She is currently researching mitochondrial function in adults with Type 2 Diabetes who have followed a long-term low-carbohydrate high-fat (LCHF) diet. Her research group aims to investigate f type 2 diabetes remission in people following LCHF and uncover the physiological mechanisms that may be responsible. Tamzyn sees patients in her practice, Real Food Dietitians, based at Kenilworth Medicross. She is a co-author of Karen Thomson’s best-selling book, Sugar Free. Her past experience includes nutrition editor and writer at Health Intelligence magazine, and training and website content developer at SOLAL, a leading supplement company. She contributes to publications, conducts interviews on radio and television and is involved in training and education
