Dr Björn Hammarskjöld is a Swedish assistant professor in paediatrics at Strömstad Academy, a retired chief in paediatrics, has PhD in biochemistry and these days is an independent senior scientist in nutrition. In the spring of 2003, he started to use his old-fashioned (from previous millennia) and modern biochemistry knowledge and improved his own health and weight on a low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) diet. Dr Hammarskjöld is now actively promoting LCHF as well as opposing medical myths, such as statin deficiency and high blood pressure due to high-salt intake.
