Dr Eric Thorn is a non-invasive cardiologist with board certification in both cardiology and obesity medicine at the Virginia Hospital Center Physician Group – Metabolic Health and Weight Management Program. Dr Thorn’s practice is focused on prevention, wellness, and weight loss. The basis of what he does at the Metabolic Health and Weight Management  Program is to teach patients how to follow a real food-based, low-carbohydrate lifestyle. With close medical supervision, his patients work with nurse  Marylou Hopkins, RN, as their coach to make life-long changes to achieve optimal health. He uses medication to support weight loss and collaborates closely with bariatric surgery colleagues when additional tools and support are needed.
