Dr Hana Krejči is a specialist in diabetology and internal medicine at Charles University, General University Hospital in Prague. She takes care of patients with various types of diabetes and pregnant women with internal complications in pregnancy (including pre-gestational and gestational diabetes). She also tutors younger colleagues and lectures to medical students. Dr Krejči says her experience with low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) has changed the way she understands pathogenesis and treatment of obesity and diabetes. “The positive effect of this lifestyle is fascinating and it is worth of attention from medical authorities and nutritionists,” she says.
