Dr Mark says that the ivory-tower science model is not creating effective tools to address the obesity and diabetes pandemic.     Rob Duncan is a Canadian Certified Banting Coach for The  Real Meal Revolution. In 2015, he was diabetic and obese. A year later, he had reversed both these conditions. Rob now works to  help reduce the twin epidemics of obesity and diabetics afflicting Canadians and the country’s health system, which he says is “collapsing around our ears”. He is saving the health system $2,200 a year. Multiply that by the number of diabetics in the province and it‘s well over $1 billion  savings. Rob  is a retired  investment analyst and is fully  aware of the need to maintain a viable fiscal regime and says  savings can help. He still works as a ski instructor – this will be his 40th year teaching on snow. Now he wants to teach Banting, as well.
