    Dr Björn Hammarskjöld is a Swedish assistant professor in paediatrics at Strömstad Academy, a retired chief in paediatrics, has PhD in biochemistry and these days is an independent senior scientist in nutrition. In the spring of 2003, he started to use his old-fashioned (from previous millennia) and modern biochemistry knowledge and improved his own health and weight on a low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) diet. Dr Hammarskjöld is now actively promoting LCHF as well as opposing medical myths, such as statin deficiency and high blood pressure due to high-salt intake.     Dr Annika Dahlqvist is a Swedish retired general practitioner, a specialist in general medicine. She enjoys a deserved reputation as the first low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) pioneer and the doctor who introduced LCHF into Sweden. In the fall of 2004, Dr Dahlqvist improved her own health through research into LCHF. In 2005, two dietitians reported her to the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. In January 2008, the SNBHW vindicated her completely, saying that “…low carb diets can today be seen as compatible with scientific evidence and best practice for weight reduction for patients with overweight or diabetes type 2, as a number of studies have shown effect in the short term and no evidence of harm has emerged…”.     Dr Göran Sjöberg is a metallurgical engineer and Associate Professor at Sweden’s Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg in the area of Materials Technology with Emphasis on Aerospace Materials. He developed an interest in low-carb, high-fat (LCHF) therapies to treat and prevent heart disease after using dietary change to treat his own heart problems successfully. He is now a researcher of the natural sciences. He has studied the medical profession’s basic textbooks. Most interesting in his view, are the fundamental aspects of cell metabolism. He has spent time on the seminal textbook on that topic: Molecular Biology of the Cell by Bruce Alberts, Dennis Bray, James Watson, and Julian Lewis. He works with Sweden’s LCHF  pioneer Dr Annika Dahlqvist and written numerous chronicles on her blog. He regularly gives public talks on LCHF. He is writing a book about the benefits of LCHF for health. The working title is currently: How To Survive And Thrive With Heart Disease.
