    Australian Jennifer Elliot worked as a community dietitian for almost 30 years and recommended a low-carb approach to people with insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes  for over 10 years with good results. The Dietitians Association of Australian deregistered her in 2015 after  a complaint from a dietitian alleging that her use of LC diets was not evidence-based. She is author of  Baby Boomers, Bellies and Blood Sugars in 2011 and has developed a 12 week on-line program, Eat to Beat Diabetes, for managing T2D with a lower-carb approach.

    Dr Caryn Zinn is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian and senior lecturer at AUT University, NZ, where she currently focuses her teaching and research work on low carbohydrate, healthy fat (LCHF) nutrition and its application to metabolic health and sports performance.
